Bought On Loyal3: DPS, K, KO, MCD, PEP, TGT, UL, VFC, WMT

It sucks when there are buying opportunities in the stock market and you don't have the capital to invest in everything you want.  If I had more cash on hand to invest with, I'd be buying up stocks left and right the way the stock market has been recently.  Unfortunately, since I don't have enough capital on hand to invest in everything I want, I have to invest in smaller amounts across different companies.  And that's one of the reasons why I love Loyal3.  It allows me to invest in companies with as little as $10.  Given that I don't have enough capital to invest in different stocks that I want without the commission taking a decent hit, I've decided to invest in stocks offered on Loyal3.

I purchased the following stocks in my Loyal3 account last week:
  • 0.1137 shares of Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. (DPS) at $87.93 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 2.41%, adding $0.24 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 0.1338 shares of Kellogg Company (K) at $74.73 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 2.78%, adding $0.28 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 0.4724 shares of The Coca-Cola Company (KO) at $42.34 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 3.31%, adding $0.66 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 0.1783 shares of McDonald's Corp. (MCD) at $112.14 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 3.35%, adding $0.67 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 0.1864 shares of Pepsico, Inc. (PEP) at $107.27 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 2.81%, adding $0.56 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 1.4571 shares of Target Corp. (TGT) at $68.63 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 3.50%, adding $3.50 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 0.4790 shares of Unilever PLC (UL) at $41.75 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 3.40%, adding $0.68 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 5.5422 shares of V.F. Corporation (VFC) at $54.13 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 3.10%, adding $9.31 to my taxable dividend income.
  • 0.2852 shares of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) at $70.13 per share.  This is a dividend yield of 2.85%, adding $0.57 to my taxable dividend income.
What do you think of my recent stock purchases?

  1. Looks like you have been busy with quite a few buys. I'd say I like a lot of the purchases you made as most are consumer oriented which is my favorite sector overall. Every bit helps. Just stay consistent with your buying. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Keith,

I've been trying to make purchases with the stock market dropping a little bit last week. It seems as of today, the stock market has quickly bounced back again. I only wish I had more capital to invest with.

    1. Hi Dividendsandhobbies,

Interesting analogy - I couldn't agree more; every buy is a seed planted that will turn into a tree overtime. A tree that will bear much fruit hopefully. :)
